| Free Gas Giveaway in Pigeon Forge Tennessee |
Smoky Mountains Resort Giving Away a Tanker Truck of Gasoline I think it's safe to say that the people in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee are pretty pumped. That's because this small resort town on the edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is giving away a tanker truck load of gasoline to summer visitors who come to their area. The Great Gas Giveaway began on May 24th with the arrival of an 8,500-gallon tanker truck. From that point on members of the "Pigeon Forge Gas Patrol" will encounter guests at the city's theaters, outlet malls, restaurants, attractions and specialty shops and give $30 gasoline gift certificates to visitors on a random basis. The Pigeon Forge Welcome Center is the only location which will be a guaranteed giveaway location every day. Pigeon Forge, population 5,400, receives approximately 11 million visitors a year. It is a small gesture, but driving destinations like Pigeon Forge need to reduce the pain of high gas prices. We've never been to Pigeon Forge, but have been told by many people, it's beautiful. If you are in the Midwest, put Pigeon Forge on your list of destinations. They may even pick up the gas tab! Read more at: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TimesharevaluesTravelArticles?m=102. |
